Assay Validation
Principal validation procedures for immunoassays include:- Sensitivity, measuring range, parallel displacement between standard and sample, recoveries of known amounts of standard preparations and intra-assay coefficient of variation (CV) are determined routinely.
- Cross-reactions with related materials will be measured if they are available.
- Determination of inter-assay CV can only be obtained with larger test numbers during routine measurements.
- Electrophoresis and Western blot analyses for antibody characterisation is also offered as a service.
- Assay validation for specific sample types (e.g. cell culture media, samples of body fluids from specific animal species or human samples) can be carried out if such samples are provided by the client.
